Ali Alijanian, DDS

Oral Surgeon & Dental Implant Specialist

Dr. Ali Alijanian began his dental education at the University of the Pacific School of Dentistry, where he graduated with honors in 1994. After receiving his Doctor of Dental Science degree, he proceeded to complete a one-year postgraduate training program, which further solidified his dental knowledge. From there, he completed a four-year residency in oral and maxillofacial surgery at the Alameda Health System Highland General Hospital, and upon graduating, he pursued his goals of excellence by becoming a board-certified oral surgeon. In addition, he is a diplomate of the National Dental Board of Anesthesiology and a fellow of the American College of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons. In a leadership role, he has served as the former president of the Contra Costa Dental Society and the Sadi Fontaine Academy.

He is one of the few surgeons trained in the placement of zygomatic implants. He has been performing All-on-4® treatment for the past 23 years with a high success rate. Dr. Alijanian is recognized as one of the authorities in these procedures. Being well versed in all aspects of implant dentistry and reconstructive methods, Dr. Alijanian is constantly working to pass on his knowledge. He routinely lectures on these topics, offers continuing education in the state of California and has published many different articles in the fields of anesthesia, dental implants and reconstructive surgery. He is also the founder of the Partnership Study Club, an educational experience dedicated to advancements in the field of implant dentistry, and SPEAR Study Club. Dr. Alijanian’s passion for learning about dental implants has earned him recognition from Nobel Biocare/Brånemark, which is one of the world’s leading authorities on dental implants.

Outside of his private practice, Dr. Alijanian is on the staff at two major trauma centers: John Muir Hospital in Walnut Creek and Highland Hospital in Oakland.

Dr. Alijanian enjoys his career and is very passionate about what he does. Outside of the office, he enjoys scuba diving and swimming. He has participated in open water races, such as the RCP Tiburon Mile, where swimmers from all over the world participate in a one-nautical-mile race from San Francisco Bay’s Angel Island to the shores of downtown Tiburon. He is enthusiastic about the underwater world and has designed the office to reflect that joy. Dr. Alijanian is also an avid cyclist and actively participates in races throughout the year. He is a dedicated father and husband. He is married to the love of his life and has two beautiful children.

Dr. Reza Khazaie

Periodontist

Dr. Reza Khazaie graduated in 1997 from Azad University. After graduation, he opened a practice limited only to prosthodontics for three years. During that time, he was also the director of the Dental Department at Farahangian Hospital.

In 2000, Dr. Khazaie moved to California, where he continued his education at the University of Southern California (USC) which culminated in the completion of the Prosthodontic Residency program in 2005. Dr. Khazaie has had the opportunity to lecture on dental implant subjects in different dental schools in the United States and internationally. He has also lectured at various dental implant study clubs throughout California and internationally.

His current multi-specialty practice (Willow Bend Dental Care) in Concord, California, is dedicated to implant dentistry as well as pediatric dentistry. He conducts CE courses in association with 3i and Nobel Biocare and is presently an associate clinical professor at the University of the Pacific. Dr. Khazaie is a member of the American Dental Association® (ADA), California Dental Association (CDA), American College of Prosthodontists (ACP), Academy of Osseointegration (AO), American Academy of Implant Dentistry (AAID) and the Contra Costa Dental Association (CCDDS).

Dr. Khazaie regularly gives of his time to provide dental care to those in need. He has recently traveled to Guatemala, Cambodia, Haiti, Cape Verde and South Africa with Kids International Dental Services. Click the links below for photos and more details of his travels.

Dr. Dino Javaheri

Cosmetic Dentist

Dr. Dino S. Javaheri is a well-known recognized leader in the field of dentistry. The Journal of the American Dental Association has referred to him as a “master clinician” and expert dentist. Another leading dental journal, Dentistry Today, has recognized him for the past 15 years as a leader in continuing education for teaching other practicing dentists how to do advanced dental procedures. Fewer than 100 dentists worldwide have received this honor. He is the course director at UOP dental school of the continuing education courses The Art and Science of Cosmetic Dentistry, Smile Reconstruction using Porcelain Veneers and Esthetic Implant Restorations. In addition, Dr. Javaheri is actively involved in teaching cosmetic and implant dentistry to other dentists through dental study clubs and society meetings across the country. He also frequently serves as a volunteer consultant for dental manufacturers to help evaluate and develop new products.

Dr. Javaheri has written numerous articles for leading dental journals including the Journal of the American Dental Association, Dentistry, Practical Procedures and Aesthetic Dentistry, Compendium, Journal of Operative Dentistry, Dentistry Today, and The Journal of Dental Research. His articles have often been featured on the covers of these Journals.

Dr. Javaheri did his undergraduate studies in genetics at U.C. Davis. He attended dental school at Tufts University, graduating in 1993. He then completed a two-year advanced education in general dentistry residency program at UOP Dental School in San Francisco. Fewer than 1% of dentists have completed an advanced residency program such as this. Since then, he has maintained a full-time private practice in the Danville area. In addition to his warm, personal approach and meticulous attention to detail, Dr. Javaheri uses the latest technologies and techniques to keep our patients happy and healthy.

Dr. Javaheri enjoys interests in cars, the 49ers and quality time with his family. Dr. Javaheri and his wife, Dr. Sara Shahnavaz, have two beautiful daughters and a little dog named Snowy.
